Project proposal aiming to analyse drivers of farm performance. Proposed work first includes a descriptive analysis of farm characteristics, using selected indicators of farm structure, practices, agro-ecological characteristics and policy environment, to define farm clusters. In a second step, different indicators of economic, productivity and sustainability performance will be identified and measured. Finally, the link between farm characteristics and farm performance will be analysed using statistical methods. Findings on the characteristics of high and low performers will then be interpreted with a view to draw policy implications for sustainable productivity improvements.
Timetable in 2017-18:
• 5/17 FLA network meeting: discussion of project scope and implementation
• 11/17 FLA network meeting: discussion of initial results and next steps
• 5/18 APM meeting: draft report for discussion
